Butch Gunn

Butch was born and raised in New York. Upon leaving New York, he spent seven years in the Air Force and ended up in Colorado Springs. Once here, he fell in love with our city, and could not imagine living anywhere else. After leaving the Air Force, Butch worked as a Land Surveyor with Wilson and Company Engineers and Architects for six years. He has spent the last 17 years as a City of Colorado Springs Firefighter where he currently holds the position of Driver/Engineer. He now manages a dual career in Real Estate and Firefighting. His wife Jackie owns Kirk and Hill, a premier ladies clothing store in Colorado Springs. She has been busy running the store since it opened in 1987. Butch has two sons, Jason and Spencer. Jason graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University and is a pilot for Atlantic Southeast Airlines. Spencer is a High School senior attending St. Johns Military School in Salina Kansas. Hobbies include renovating homes, golfing, and entertaining friends. His passion is real estate. His wife jokes that when they go on vacation, most people go sight seeing, but Butch makes sure he takes time to look at homes in each city he visits. He keeps finger on the pulse of what is happening in our market and trends around the nation. He has successfully renovated several homes in Colorado Springs. He possesses the vision to transform a house and recognizes all of the possibilities. Butch has a keen ability to listen, guide and direct. He realizes the stresses of buying and selling a home, and strives to make each process pleasurable, and fun. Other qualities include working well under pressure, knowing all areas of the city, being detailed oriented, accustomed to working 24 hours in a day to get the job done and having an outgoing personality that truly enjoys people.
